Timperley Early, Rhubarb

This is the earliest variety available and is widely used for very early forced crops as well as for producing early outdoor rhubarb in February and March.

In both situations the yield is not high but is compensated by the earliness of the variety.

The sticks are red at the base grading to green at the top, with good thickness and length as the season progresses. Flavour is good.

This variety must be ordered and planted before Christmas.
