Florence, Strawberry

EU 7386
Exceptional yield, superb disease resistance and large attractive berries have made this one of the most widely grown varieties in Europe with over 15 million plants sold annually.

The berries are sweet with a particularly good flavour but darken if allowed to become over-ripe. Florence is resistant to Crown Rot and most leaf diseases including Powdery Mildew and has good tolerance to Vine Weevil and Verticillium Wilt. Florence is a late season selection with a prolonged picking season and a 50% pick date 12 days later than Elsanta.
