A virtually thornless, red-fruited gooseberry with excellent resistance to American gooseberry mildew.
The bushes have a vigorous spreading habit and carry sweet, burgundy red, pear-shaped berries in late July. Captivator is Mildew resistant and very cold hardy, having been bred in Canada. This is one of the best dessert varieties available.
Highly recommended by PYO growers.
